Crowhurst Park Access Statement

At Crowhurst Park we are committed to catering to the needs of all our customers. That is why we have taken steps to offer all facilities to those with disabilities.

  • Crowhurst Park consists of 54 holiday lodges and 130 caravan holiday homes (privately owned).
  • Lodges are all sited near or next to the main entrance road with tarmac pathways to all, not all pathways are flat, varying gradients are common when accessing lodges. All lodges have a minimum of three steps up to the entrances, however there are two lodges adapted for wheelchair users with access ramps. All roads have speed ramps.
  • Caravan holiday homes are again sited near or next to main park roads, some have direct access from the road however no pathways are in place to holiday homes not adjacent to the roads, access is over undulating lawns. Ramps are permitted to registered disabled users holiday homes. Parking is not permitted near holiday homes, however loading and unloading near to holiday homes is permitted. A large car park is available for holiday home owners.
  • Manor House containing bars, restaurant, coffee shop/shop, games room, laundrette, reception and toilets are wheelchair accessible from ramps or path level entrances around the Manor House. The outdoor decked area is also accessible. Parking is available adjacent to the Manor House.
  • The Leisure Club is fully accessible with all changing, showering and toilet facilities on the ground floor. The Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room are also on the poolside level however there is a small step to the steam room and sauna. The children's pool has beach style entry and the main pool has four step entry points, maximum depth is 1.2 meters. The gymnasium, fitness suite and treatment room is on the first floor which can be accessed via a stair lift. There are toilet facilities available on the first level. Parking is available in the main car park with access to the Leisure Club via tarmac pathways.

    Play Areas
  • The children's adventure playground is wheelchair accessible and is laid to grass and wood chip, the area is sloping and undulating.
  • The tennis court is accessible from the road and the football field is accessible over undulating lawns.

    Transport
  • There is no public transport available to or from the Park other than from the bus stops on the main A2100 and the entrance to the park which operate hourly to Battle or Hastings.
  • Local taxi numbers are displayed in Reception.
  • The nearest local train station is Battle.

    General Information
  • Mobile telephone coverage is generally good.
  • Telephone numbers for a doctor and emergency services are published in our lodge information packs and in reception. First Aiders are available on site for emergencies.
  • Assistance dogs are welcome in all areas.
  • Reception opens at variable times throughout the year outside of these hours emergency service is available, but, please be aware this does not equate to 24 hour service.
  • Clubhouse facility opening hours vary according to the time of year.
  • The Leisure Centre opens from 6.30 am until 10.00 pm Monday to Thursday, 6.30 am until 9.00 pm Friday and 8.00 am untill 7.00 pm Saturday & Sunday. Facilities are cleared 15 prior to closing times. Certain restrictions apply.
