1. What should I bring along when I come to the Leisure Club?
Remember to bring your membership card (if you are still waiting for your card your receipt of payment will do). You will need a 20 pence peace for the lockers (refunded). Towels and the correct clothing for your activity. 2. What is the dress code? Although we want you to be comfortable (wear light, breathable clothes that have been designed for physical activity and that you can move in), do have respect for your fellow gym-goers - guys, we don't want to stare at your naked chests, so wear a T-shirt. Wear only closed shoes such as cross-trainers or running shoes. You may want to also bring a top to keep you warm when you leave the gym. 3. Will someone help me to get started when I get there? Yes, please make an appointment with our gym instructor who will give you an induction into the safe use of our gym equipment. If you require further fitness programs or personal training please arrange this with the gym instructor. 4. I like to listen to music while I'm exercising. Do you have audio facilities? All cardio vascular equipment have televisions built in with a range of channels to suit and have adaptors for your mp3 palyers. 5. Is the pool water safe and is the water warm? Our swimming pool is sanitised with chlorine. The chemical levels are monitored regularly and recorded daily. Our pool is heated. 6. Why is there a 20-minute time limit on some of the cardio equipment? Some cardio machines such as treadmills and cross trainers have a time limit of 20 minutes to allow for fair use for all our members at any given time, especially during peak hours. 7. Which is better, the sauna or the steam room, what's the difference? Both are equally enjoyable to use, they are just different. The steam room uses moist heat while the sauna uses dry heat. 8. Do I need to bring my own towels to gym? You should always bring a small sweat towel that you can use while exercising and to wipe down equipment after use, there are paper towels provided if you forget to bring your own towel. You should also bring your own bath towel if you are going to take a shower or swim. 9. What if I left my towel at home? You can hire towels from the main Manor House reception for £4.00 for a set (£10.00 deposit required) The Leisure Club does not have a facility to hire or loan towels. 10. Get a timetable from reception or view online, a brief description of each class offered should help you decide what to attend and when. 11. Do I have to pay extra to attend classes? Yes.
