Frequently Asked Questions
1. How long does the park open for through the year? The park is open 10 ½ months year from the 1st March to the 14th January. Please note that the park is licensed as a holiday park and you caravan holiday home cannot be used as a permanent residential home. 2. How long can I keep my holiday home on site for? If you purchase a new holiday home the licence agreement will run for 13 years. Acadia lodges have a licence agreement until 14th January 2028. Ground rents will be charged annually. 3. What are the site fees? The site fees for 2008 are £3448 per annum for a holiday home and £3995 per annum for an Acadia Lodge. Site fees are payable in advance at the beginning of the year. 4. Are these fees likely to increase? Site fees will be revised each year and are likely to be in line with inflation. 5. What are the services provided to the site? Metered or bottled LPG, electricity and water and a full sewage and treatment facility. Wireless internet is available to owners and holiday makers. 6. Do I have a choice of holiday homes to purchase? We have several stock holiday homes on site for viewing; we can also direct you to several manufacturers to view further models. 7. Can I buy my home on finance? Yes - we are offering finance at very competitive rates through Capital Bank. 8. What sports facilities are there? A leisure club with swimming pool, sauna steam room Jacuzzi, gymnasium, fitness room and treatment room, tennis court, boules court all for the use of the owners. Some equipment is available for hire free of charge including tennis rackets and tennis balls. 9. Can my friends and family use my holiday home? Yes, with prior approval. 10. Can I have boxes and balconies? 2 Storage boxes are allowed per holiday home (please ask about restrictions) , decking and skirting is only available on the Acadia Lodges and is included in the price. 11. Can I bring my pets? Pets are not permitted on Crowhurst Park. Guide dogs will be accepted 12. Is there private fishing nearby? A small fishing lake created on the park is only a short walk from the holiday homes. More fishing is available in the local area. 13. Is there a Golf Course I can use? There are plenty of courses in the immediate and local area, please ask for more information. 14. Is car parking provided? Car parking is available in a large car park near the holiday homes. Loading and unloading is available adjacent to holiday homes. 15. Is there a shop available? Yes there is a small shop on the site supplying the basics, however there are lager shops and supermarkets in the local Battle and Hastings area. 16. Are there nature walks on site? Nature trails and cycle paths provide miles of enjoyment. Ideal for walking in the fresh air and for exercise. Our own Woodland Trail is a short walk on the park ideal for Adults and Children alike.
